A type of greenhouse gas (GHG), HFCs are organic compounds that contain fluorine, carbon and hydrogen atoms and they are produced commercially as a substitute for chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). They are mainly used in refrigeration and semiconductor manufacturing. (English)
